The Director of Global Brand Equity & Product Marketing will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of established brands globally. In this role you will serve as the lead strategist for the Life Fitness portfolio of brands including defining brand strategy, architecture, and differentiating value proposition.
You will be charged with ensuring the brands are positioned within the global marketplace and within the portfolio to maximize market share and revenue while identifying opportunities for growth. You will lead new product launches from early stage customer insights to full global launch plans. You will leading a team (inclusive of Brand Managers, Market Research, and support) while collaborating closely with segment and digital marketing teams, product management, and other cross functional partners.
KEY OBJECTIVES
Lead a team of brand managers and agency to define differentiated Brand positioning, guidelines, and creative expression
Manage the corporate brand and manage brand architecture
Manage ongoing evolution of brand portfolio, including integration of new brands and rationalization of existing brands
Lead infusion of more early stage customer insight into new product development
Lead internal brand education, aiming to set the overall strategy for the corporate brand and driving employees to ‘live’ the corporate brand promise
Set KPI’s by brand, including targets for revenue, market share, engagement, Net Promoter Score, etc.
Manage and develop a team of direct reports while also acting as the orchestrator within brand marketing department to cross-functionally execute against marketing plans globally
Creatively identify opportunity areas for growth by effectively leveraging customer insights, market research, and competitive intelligence
Manage the launch of new products globally in cooperation with segment and digital marketing teams product development and engineering
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of marketing and finance, proven track record in managing and meeting revenue targets through brand marketing
Market existing brand product lines over the course of the product lifecycle to ensure continued demand globally
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
10+ years marketing experience, with experience in Brand definition and positioning
Experience leading Brand / Creative agencies
Global perspective and experience
Experience leading product launches from early stage consumer and customer insights to product validation to 360 degree marketing launch plans
Proven ability to build, develop, grow and mentor teams; 5+ years of experience leading teams of 5+ professionals
Strong business & financial acumen
Ability to connect creativity, data/analytics, and strategy
Ability to influence and build followership across organizational boundaries; ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally.
Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation – with a proven ability to keep information flowing amongst internal stakeholders
Comfort navigating fast-changing, occasionally ambiguous environments with a willingness to take risks, ability to consider novel, untested approaches to drive innovative solutions
Comfort working in a multi-time zone, global environment with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects / deadlines simultaneously
Proficient with MS Office Suite / experience in an O365 environment
QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED:
Strong fitness market and product knowledge; industry affinity and passion
Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing.
