| Job Description : | Associate Marketing Manager, Professional BooksLocation: Lanham, MDRowman & Littlefield Publishing Group is looking for an associate marketing manager to organize and develop marketing and promotional campaign strategies for our professional books. Core duties include assisting in the production, implementation, and tracking of print and digital campaigns needed to achieve company sales goals and engagement with customers.The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Channel Manager, Professional, and work at the company’s headquarters in Lanham, MD. Remote is an option for the right applicant.Responsibilities: · Manage marketing efforts to professional musicians, actors, conflict resolution specialists, policy experts, and coaches. Additional duties include assisting the executive channel manager on marketing to key professional audiences, such as teachers, college administrators, psychologists, museum professionals, and librarians.o Assist in the creation and implementation of impactful print and digital campaigns in coordination with the Creative Services and Strategic Engagement teams.o Create direct mail and digital advertising campaigns including catalogs, brochures, emails, web banner advertisements, and other digital promotions.o Develop and create marketing plans for key books.· Correspond with authors on marketing efforts for their books.· Coordinate our efforts for industry events, including in-person and virtual conventions, author events, and book launches.· Routinely maintain marketing files and databases, research, and compile mailing lists, and assist with reports as needed.Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field2+ years in marketing in the publishing industry or related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong initiative, creativity, and being a self-starter is a plusTravel requirements: attend 2-3 trade shows a year once in-person events resumeAbout Our CompanyAn independent publisher with an outstanding reputation, Rowman & Littlefield publishes innovative, high-quality college texts, provocative and timely titles for general readers, and professional and scholarly books throughout the humanities and social sciences.
