The Kansas City Current are seeking a passionate, experienced and talented Content Manager to lead our efforts on key social and digital platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube. Furthermore will assist and manage other digital efforts including website content and development, ensuring a seamless user experience across KC Current platforms.
The Content Manager will be responsible for helping create and execute an overarching content strategy, developing unique plans for each platform, creating and publishing original content (text, images and video) in a unique KC Current voice, and interacting with fans following us on the various platforms.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Lead day to day management of social media accounts on all platforms.
Integrating Current brand with the key revenue departments, including partnerships, ticket sales and merchandise.
Collaborate to develop overarching content strategy, including the identification of key metrics and definition of audience segments
Manage and develop individual tactical plans for key digital platforms to grow fan engagement
Create content consistent with the brand voice that aligns with organizational goals
Develop content and campaigns for key platforms that align with the organization’s communications and revenue-generating marketing plans and campaigns
Coordinate with internal departments to create and publish PR and marketing content
Develop relationships with players and the technical staff to highlight personalities and off-the-field interests
Coordinate with internal departments to develop and publish news-related content
Engage with fans through community management on all active social media channels and monitor conversations and trends
Ensure each social media platform content is consistent with organizational brand guidelines and overall presence
Stay current with change and evolution of social media channels to maximize effectiveness, and grow positive engagement
Create and develop new ways to attract and engage fans through campaigns and incentives
Provide analytics and reporting, and thorough insights, take action to adjust content as appropriate based on target audience(s) and platform to ensure optimal user experience that increases following and engagement.
Requirements
BS degree in Marketing or relevant field
Knowledge of and passion for professional women’s soccer
Experience working as a Content Manager (or equivalent role)
Demonstrable understanding of all social media platforms and experience creating and publishing content for each
Superior copywriting skills
Ability to conceive and create social content
Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
Excellent communication skills
Analytical skills and understanding of social media analytics
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects
Manage design/layout/features of pages on all platforms
Advise on utilizing paid marketing features on social platforms
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of hire, subject to legally-mandated accommodations
