We are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join us in delivering our promise to merchants: Stress Less, Grow More! This role will report to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing and be situated within a marketing team of seven today which will double by the end of 2022. You will own principal content marketing and writing responsibilities, with the primary goal of ShipMonk’s share of content within the 3PL/Fulfillment sphere, while supporting a seamless customer experience throughout the buyer’s journey.
What you’ll do:
Brand & Content. Work closely with ShipMonk’s stakeholders in marketing, product, sales, and merchant experiences to develop a communications & content strategy that drives top-of-funnel awareness, sales enablement, and product adoption. Assist in the development of brand storytelling to ensure it is in line with overall positioning and voice
Conceptualization and Execution: Identify, develop, and realize content needs across such marketing channels as web, email, blog, social, video, digital advertising, print/advertorial, social and more. You’ll develop an expert-level understanding of channel marketing concepts as defined by need and wider team projects, exhibiting a keen eye for context and editing within the wider ShipMonk aesthetic
Cross-Team Collab: Work with our wider Marketing team (designers, generalists, brand directors), refining concepts and campaigns to ensure that everything that goes out is of exceptional quality and on-voice. Execute in parity with production teams, providing idea/concept generation with and to our Brand team from development to output
External Communications Management: Acting on behalf of ShipMonk, manage 3rd party engagements with clients, vendors, partners, PR and related media entities.
What you’ll need:
Well Rounded. You’re part magician and unicycling juggler managing an array of tasks while producing jaw-dropping results. You’ve got 4+ years of marketing experience with specific, demonstrated experience in content creation and copywriting. On digital matters, you’ll follow SEO best practices throughout content creation and have a base-to-expert level understanding of internal/external web linking practice. You understand the crucial importance of succinct writing for web content and can frame your words within a visual design
Have you had prior responsibilities in developing creative for digital product lines, logistics, or Software as a Service (Saas)? Then its bonus points for you, friend!
GSD Attitude. You know how to Get Sh*t Done through delegating defined responsibilities among the team or, if necessary, won’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves and attack the problem head-on
Voracious Learner. We don’t expect you to know everything about everything. However, when you do come across something you’re not familiar with, an innate desire burning from within propels you into GSD mode to shut down the ambiguity

High-level comfort in developing consistent, multi-channel collateral (print, digital, direct mail, video, etc.)
