The person in this role will work directly with the company’s founders to help expand Dell Cove Spices’ existing e-commerce channels; launch our products into new e-commerce channels; and help coordinate, manage and shape our social media marketing.The duties will include:Working directly with the company founders on launching our products onto online sales channelsCreate, edit and post digital media for product listingsWrite product listing copy for e-commerce channelsParticipate in short, efficient weekly meetings with company founders to share updates on progressDoing research online and across social media channels to discover new e-commerce outlets for our productsMonitor consumer and competitive landscape for trends and digital best practicesOccasionally help create, edit and post digital media images and video clips for social media postings (Instagram, Facebook), and write website contentWork directly with the company founders on developing new ideas for Dell Cove Spices’ digital marketing and media strategies, and help come up with innovative ways to promote new product launchesOccasionally correspond with online retailers and stockists via email, telephone, or other electronic messaging to address questions about products, policies, or shipping methodsProactively look for ways to make what we do more efficient, and work with the company founders to implement these recommendationsLong term, we are looking for someone who is interested in becoming a true multi-channel expert – and who is interested in growing their knowledge and expertise in online sales and marketing.Reports to: Company foundersClassification: Hourly, non-exemptPay: $18 to $21 an hour, depending on experiencePosition Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a non-exempt position that is expected to start out part-time (20 to 25 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, with the potential to grow into a full-time position. Initially, the job will be in our offices in New Haven, Indiana – but the plan is to offer a hybrid work environment (part in-office, part work from home).Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, e-commerce analytics, or equivalent is preferred. We also encourage college students in their senior year; graduate students; and anyone who has experience running their own e-commerce business to apply.1 to 3 years’ experience working in online marketing, e-commerce, digital media or equivalent fields. If you have less experience, but equivalent skills, consider submitting a resume for consideration.Experience launching a small online product business or running one is a plus.Required SkillsFamiliarity with eCommerce channels – such as Etsy, Shopify and Faire retail and wholesale portals. Experience with other e-commerce channels is a definite plus.Experience using a PC, Microsoft Excel and Word.Must be fluent in English (read, write, speak). Fluency in Spanish preferred.Excellent communication skills (oral & written)Strong decision-making skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge and Abilities: Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop software programs is a huge plus.
