Job Description : Excellent opportunity for a talented individual with marketing experience to join our non-profit organization for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing a broad range of marketing and communications support for multiple departments across the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg. The qualified candidate will demonstrate a basic knowledge of marketing and communications strategies, hands-on experience with marketing software and tactics, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, clear writing capabilities, and an ability to multi-task and project manage within a deadline-driven environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides a broad range of hands-on, tactical support to all members of the marketing team including digital marketing, communications and basic design.
Co-manages social media for the association. This includes strategic planning, collaboration with other departments, creation and execution of monthly content though social media management software, Planable.
Co-manages email marketing through MailChimp, including weekly content planning and creation, list management and organization, scheduling and execution.
Tracks, analyzes and reports performance of digital marketing campaigns (including ongoing social media and email marketing efforts) and assesses against goals (ROI & KPI’s).
Designs simple collateral and works on various graphic design projects as needed using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and template documents, paying close attention to brand guidelines.
Assists with basic updates to the association website as needed through content management system, Accrisoft.
Assists with day-to-day communication with various vendor relationships, including documentation of project work and the processing and tracking of purchase orders and invoices.
Responsible for photo and video coverage at special events as needed. Regularly visits locations across the association in correlation with social media content planning and marketing campaign execution. Assists external vendors with photo/video productions.
Conceptualizes and writes promotional copy that effectively communicates project objectives. Edits copy as needed.
Maintains tools needed to compete job duties by regularly checking for and installing computer and device updates and software as needed. Manages and organizes digital files, logins, and passwords as appropriate.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Logs all project updates and files through project management system, Trello.
Integrates diverse information, paying close attention to detail, while following best practices, procedures and processes.
Thinks analytically to solve problems and find creative solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations or other related field, plus minimum of 2-years of in-the-field, related experience such as general marketing, social media marketing, email marketing or graphic design.
Marketing Skills: Knowledge of baseline digital and traditional marketing tactics.
Proficiency with business-level social media tools and platforms including Facebook Business Manager and Instagram for Business. Experience with social content writing, publishing and analytics tools.
Hands-on experience creating email marketing campaigns through MailChimp or a similar platform.
Experience designing and creating marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Experience making basic web updates through a content management system such as Accrisoft, WordPress, Drupal, etc., as well as familiarity with Google Analytics.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a professional and friendly demeanor in working with coworkers and vendors and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Basic knowledge of how to take photos, transfer photos from various devices, basic understanding of image file types and resolution.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software. Familiarity with Mac operating system. Basic use of Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, or other related software.
Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, stay organized and meet deadlines. Some experience with a project management system or platform preferred.
Keenly detail-oriented and organized.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Full-time, $19-20/hr. We offer excellent benefits including health insurance, facility usage, before and after school child care, and YMCA-paid retirement upon eligibility. Pre-employment drug test and background screen required.
