Social Media Marketing Coordinator
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Communications Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the organic social media channels for multiple academic institutions, including Trident University International and American InterContinental University. As a member of the Perdoceo Education Corporation digital marketing team this position is responsible for social media content creation, execution, growth of social media channels, and regular reporting of results. This key position requires a successful marketing track record, attention to detail, analytical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow as a professional.
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator should have excellent writing and organizational skills, a deep knowledge of current social media trends, and the ability to interpret data to report on successes and opportunities, and to meet monthly and annual goals. This is key position plays an important role in the organization and will often interface with key organizational stakeholders, including but not limited to digital advertising, compliance, information technology, admissions, student advising, and faculty teams.
Responsibilities:
Social Media
Works with the Marketing Communications Manager on the content creation, management, and reporting on all social media channels.
Develop a keen understanding of the key populations served by the universities.
Create social media content, ensuring quality control and an attention to potential cultural sensitivities.
Create and maintain social media calendars that incorporate relevant holidays/notable dates, strategic objectives, and demographically appropriate content. Work with media compliance to gain approval on all content.
Managing and overseeing social media; ensuring results are distributed on a regular basis to appropriate parties.
Managing appropriate crisis response via social media and other communication channels.
Leverage data to grow current social media channels and to launch new channels.
Work with broader teams, both within and outside of marketing, to develop new social media opportunities and to report on ongoing social media initiatives.
Manage, execute, and report on paid social media student retention ads.
Beyond Social Media
Assist the Marketing Communications Manager with the setup and internal communication of university webinars.
Serve as a marketing representative on relevant project teams.
Identify opportunities to leverage social media content in other marketing channels. Likewise, identify opportunities to use content from other marketing channels in social media.
Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure important content is posted on the website, including press releases, webinar updates, and alumni/faculty profiles.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 2 years of social media marketing experience; demonstrable TikTok experience a plus.
Superior organizational skills to establish/maintain productive cross-functional relationships in a collaborative team-based environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results, and deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to learn in an environment that values employee development.
Knowledge of social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Hubspot.
Experience with Google Analytics.
Experience with Canva and Adobe, specifically Creative Cloud Express (formerly known as Spark) and Photoshop.
Experience creating videos for social media. Basic editing skills a plus.
Pay and Benefits
