A position at BARBARA/JEAN is more than a retail job—it’s an opportunity to turn a love of fashion into a life-long career.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Marketing & Events Coordinator oversees the planning, production, and implementation of all marketing and advertising initiatives, including but not limited to:· Direct mail· Print and digital advertising· Email marketing· Social media, including Facebook Ads Manager· Website management· Public relations· Signage and in-house communications· Charitable giving on behalf of the companyIt is important that the Marketing & Events Coordinator has a strong understanding of our company’s brand standards and that all marketing and advertising initiatives are executed according to the company’s preferred voice and visual identity.The Marketing & Events Coordinator is expected to stay abreast of the most current marketing and advertising trends, meet with media representatives to discuss advertising and PR opportunities, utilize our point-of-sale system to create targeted customer lists, and oversee the production of brand photography and collateral. The Marketing & Events Coordinator must develop a yearly marketing plan and execute it while staying within a set annual budget.In addition to overseeing advertising initiatives, the Marketing & Events Coordinator is expected to plan, produce, and execute events both in-store and off the premises, including cocktail parties, shopping events, private parties, and runway shows. This includes marketing the event, and overseeing food, drinks, flowers, models, and other necessities. The Marketing & Events Coordinator will be expected to keep a calendar of upcoming trunk shows and events, and will coordinate travel and lodging for visiting designers and vendor reps. Bachelor’s Degree in field such as communications, marketing, graphic design, or related.2. 1-3 years professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, graphic design or similar.3. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite to create marketing and promotional materials that reflect our brand standards.4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.5. Knowledge of current digital marketing techniques including SEO, email marketing, social media best practices and more.6. Excellent verbal and written skills, and ability to edit copy in any format.7. Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and ability to meet deadlines.8. Strong leadership qualities, training, and professional interpersonal skills.9.
