| Job Description : | Black Tech Nation (//BTN) is a digital, social good organization in Pittsburgh working to create and grow a global black tech ecosystem for black technologists, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Our goal is to foster a tech industry more inclusive of black culture through digital events, digital programming, and global partnerships with prominent institutions, companies, nonprofits and government entities. //BTN is currently seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to manage social media and digital content for the following brands:Black Tech Nation (the non-profit, community network)Black Tech Nation Ventures (the national venture fund)Kelauni Jasmyn (the founder’s public/personal brand)As the Social Media Manager, you will be required to build a strong social media presence and manage channels across all three brands. This position will be responsible for sharing each brand’s message by producing engaging and authentic content. This person will act as the voice of each social media’s community and oversee strategic and creative marketing campaigns that increase awareness of each brand.Position Requirements: 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing, managing social media accounts or similar rolePassion in scaling small business social media presence through innovative social media strategiesExcellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platformsFamiliarity with Airtable or other comparable project management softwareExperience in creating social media graphics and using graphic software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Sketch, etc.)Basic video and photo editing for social media useFamiliarity with web design and publishing; WordPress experience is a huge plus!Proven ability in building social media communities and measured successExperience working with content creators and social media influencers are a plusAbility to develop creative social media tactics and demonstrate strong written communication** This position can be performed remotely, however, candidates should be local to Pittsburgh, PA or the surrounding area for occasional engagements/commitments.**Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: From $2,000.00 per monthBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations |
