Job Summary
The Marketing + Communications team at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah is looking for a web content specialist to join our lean, high-performance team. You will take the lead on creating, improving, and maintaining content on more than 40 websites at the Eccles School as well as provide analytics data to continuously improve the user experience on our websites.
We are looking for a person with front-end web development and maintenance skills who also has a keen eye for marketing and basic design skills. You will work with M+C team account managers to develop new webpages, update existing webpages, and upload content to the Eccles School’s websites. You will be responsible for maintaining a consistent look and feel across websites. You also will run analytics reports to continuously improve the user experience on the Eccles School’s websites. If you have additional skillsets to bring to the team, please include that in your cover letter as we are open to adapting to our team members’ strengths. This position is a hybrid position, with flexibility to work at home.
Responsibilities
General Duties
Assists in the development and implementation of content on websites. May be involved with integrating work of writers and designers to produce a final layout compatible with corporate standards. Expected to have proficient knowledge of WordPress, and knowledge of HTML, DHTML and JavaScript programming language is a plus.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Front-end web development and maintenanceDesign small graphics, edit photos, and create hero images from existing photographyMonitor and report web performance and provide feedback to M+C teamSource relevant images and where necessary, manipulate in PhotoshopMaintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detailEnsure content is built in line with SEO best practiceWork closely with the M+C team to provide help and support in all web-related workCreating content and scheduling posts for social media

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency with 2-4 years of experience.
