The Community Team’s objective is to provide members with communities that feel safe, authentic, open, and welcoming by empowering all members to safely form and strengthen friendships through shared interests, hobbies, joys, struggles and life stages. You will be responsible for growing and engaging our members and implementing creative community building techniques in order to foster a thriving online community. This role will be based in the US (Remote), This role is on Bumble BFF’s Community Team and reports to the Community Lead. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Run the day to day operations of the community, including managing a team of community moderators and community leaders Organize engagement activities that include online events and daily / weekly rituals within the community Identify passionate super users within the Bumble BFF community and implement an incentives program to nurture and reward them Provide feedback from members on product experience, usability, sentiment and member needs to help guide the direction of our community products Help build out workflows and processes for the healthy functioning of the community; identify ways to streamline existing processes and make those processes more efficient Work with Team Leads to develop strategies for community programs to scale as the community continues to grow Manage Community Leader application process; elect and onboard new Community Leaders as the community scales EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 3+ years of experience moderating, managing and scaling successful online communities; previous experience as a community moderator is a plus Deeply passionate about community building and an active member of an online community Track record of getting down in the trenches with the community, moderating forums and building deep relationships with members An understanding of how to nurture passionate super users within a community and empower them to moderate and keep conversations going Experience with two-sided content marketplace products A background in the women’s lifestyle or pregnancy and parenting space is a plus ABOUT YOU: You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where you communicate daily with world-class talent from our global teams including [list some teams here] You are positive and committed with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a flexible approach You are a problem solver and a forward thinker You are a self-starter: you thrive on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight You have excellent time management and you know how to manage multiple priorities, breaking large projects into manageable pieces You have great communication skills, both verbal and written You can build consensus and alignment but are not afraid to push ahead on your vision You are passionate about leading, managing and inspiring cross-functional teams You are deeply passionate about Bumble’s brand vision and values |
