Job Description : Muddy Water Media runs a unique ad agency model in the online search space. One of our core business lines is creating and optimizing marketing campaigns targeted to users at a keyword level.In this role we are looking for someone at the intersection of digital marketing and analytics. You will be tasked with digging into the disconnected data sets and combining them in order to find ways to improve our ROI, discover new opportunities for growth, and communicate directly with the team on ways to improve our campaign traffic and meet business performance and growth goals. We currently use basic data visualization tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Analytics to analyze campaign performance and report to internal product owners. However, we are looking for someone to assist in improving these workflows and the tools we use to make us smarter, leaner, and more effective.At the outset, this is not a ‘senior level role’, but rather one that can/will grow with the person who owns this. There is near unlimited growth potential in this business line, it’s simply up to us to pull all the insights together and scale it. It’s the perfect opportunity for someone with 3-5+ years of experience and who is entrepreneurially minded. We will help you every step of the way, but ultimately this role will be as much or as little as you make of it.This position is fully remote, but has physical team members located in the Austin, TX area. Coworking space available in Bee Cave, TX if you are local.*Responsibilities:Data entry and analysis – taking core/raw data and organizing it into a usable format for analysisKeyword Analysis – determine which keywords are working well, and which are notKeyword Research using tools like Google KW planner, SEMRush, etcResearching and being on top of keyword changes – seasonal, trends, etcCampaign performance analysis and insightsIdentify areas for A/B testing strategies to better align creative performanceRespond to ad hoc requests, and take the initiative to improve workflow processes wherever possible**Skills:Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, quantitative, marketing or business-related fieldAdvanced data visualization skills in Excel – pivot tables, formulas, etc. – or comparable experience with Google Sheets, Google Analytics, and similar toolsExperience managing large monthly ad spends, and optimizing for buy-side KPIs like CPC, ROI, and ROASProactive approach to learning, outgoing and personable communication, and intrinsic motivation to do and be betterA desire to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a strong team atmosphere and democratic decision-makingAbility to self-manage, while not being afraid to raise questions and concerns in real-time and leverage existing knowledge and experience*Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $22.00 – $30.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: Remote
