Overview:
The Digital Channel Manager is responsible for planning, execution, analysis, performance monitoring, and optimization of The Container Store’s products and Custom Closet offerings through our external digital marketing channels, specifically focused on Paid Social and Affiliate marketing. This position partners with eCommerce, Marketing, Buying, Creative, Digital Merchandising, Technology and partner agencies and publishers to drive both high-quality traffic to generate eCommerce revenue, as well as high quality leads for our Custom Closet line. These channels are one of the largest levers for The Container Store’s business and new customer acquisition.

Responsibilities:
Manages full-funnel paid social campaigns, testing, optimization, and strategy in alignment with company initiatives for continued acquisition and retention growth across both eCommerce and Lead Generation
Identifies audience targets and sets clear objectives for paid social media campaigns in order to effectively reach goals within established budgets
Manages and coordinates The Container Store affiliate marketing program and partnerships. Serves as the SME across the company for Affiliate Marketing strategy and campaign execution
Evaluates affiliate publisher offerings daily, evaluating and expanding into proven winners and identifying new opportunities for improvement
Is an excellent relationship manager with our digital media agency of record, working in tandem to pro-actively review and identify growth opportunities
Partners extremely closely with the Public Relations team, aligning paid social efforts and investment between performance and brand ambassador/influencer efforts.
Partners with other marketing and ecommerce team members and agencies to bring to life campaigns and promotions; is an active participant in omni-channel planning.
Drives and manages the execution of marketing and promotional campaigns within set timeframes and budgets along with internal and external partner teams
Monitors, analyzes and optimizes performance toward key business metrics daily
Partners with creative and brand marketing team members to develop strong messaging and storytelling for direct response ads; provides a constant feedback loop on creative performance to inform new ideas
Plans interactive testing and runs experiments on creative, copy, placements, platforms and landing pages
Stays informed about paid social and affiliate trends, partner updates, betas, exclusive opportunities, and technology. Helps The Container Store be first to market on digitally led innovations when appropriate.
Performs market research, investigates benchmarks, and identifies new opportunities for growth
Drives reach with targeted audiences while pushing consideration and quality traffic to the TCS and Custom Closets sites converting into sales/leads and long-term value to the business
Translate channel insights into test plans, product/feature proposals, and opportunities for optimization. Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and concise business actions and recommendations
Defines and runs tests, including A/B experiments to test new vendor features and/or inform new product development
Partners with cross functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Ensures channel partners and vendors are meeting traffic quality, quantity, and financial objectives
Continually optimizes paid social and affiliate channels based on daily performance results to ensure the maximum ROI and additional KPIs as outlined are met and achieved
Develops and drives strategies across affiliate ecosystem to drive leads, conversion, profitable revenue, incrementally, awareness, and efficiency as appropriate
Analyzes performance of directly managed channels and the site as a whole and reports and translates findings to audiences including digital and traditional marketing team members, merchandising and creative team members, and Director / VP-level leaders in weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports. Ensures accuracy of marketing reports. Forecasts and measures results by channel and campaign.
Monitors and manages analytics tagging practices to ensure proper channel tracking
Participates in concepting and planning new promotions, channel opportunities, and company initiatives

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years relevant work experience; proven experience in paid social and affiliate marketing channels required
Proven advertising experience on major social platforms at scale
Understanding and experience with large affiliate platforms, affiliate tracking models, tools and platforms such as Commission Junction, Impact Radius, Rakuten, etc.
Experience with Rev-Share, CPA, CPC, CPL and CPM payment models
Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a passion and aptitude for analysis and related tools
Ability to both see the big picture and execute rapidly
Is highly collaborative and has ability to be successful working in a highly matrixed environment
Experience with a multi-channel retailer preferred
Experience building lead-generation campaigns is a plus
Understanding of interdependencies of Paid, Owned and Earned marketing channels and knowledge of online marketing best practices
Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area with ability to work in our hybrid in office/ remote schedule; Remote options may be available
Must be at least 18 years of age
