Our dynamic Marketing & Business Development (M&BD) team is seeking the right candidate to serve as a Content Manager, with experience in producing a wide variety of content and promoting it across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will be an expert in marketing communications, and have extensive writing, editing, and digital experience. S/he will provide practical advice on creating relevant, effective, and on-brand content to a range of internal stakeholders, including other members of the M&BD team, lawyers, and business services professionals. The Content Manager will work very closely with members of the brand and messaging team around the world and report into the Senior Content Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for planning, creating, and sharing on-strategy and on-brand content to raise profile, grow client relationships, and potentially generate new business. Source. write and edit content for key marketing channels, including web, social, and print – maintaining the high editorial standards. Apply our key messages throughout content, ensuring we’re telling a consistent story across marketing materials. Act as guardian of content for key pages on the firm’s website, ensuring all content tells a clear story, is on brand, on message, and compelling. Collaborate with senior stakeholders on website content, e.g. new pages, microsites, etc. Act as guardian and internal expert on the firm’s writing style and its application across key marketing channels – being a resource for others within the broader M&BD team. Create integrated communications plans that detail how our content is being disseminated. Work with members of the M&BD team to identify and produce additional visual and multimedia content (e.g. video, podcasts and interactive graphics). Help guide members of the M&BD team to implement writing best practices, consistent with our tone and messaging. Maintain effective working relationships with agencies, including brand and freelancers. All members of the firm are encouraged to participate in our Global Citizenship program. QUALIFICATIONS Seven (7)+ years of experience as a writer, editor, or content generator, preferably in professional services or the legal industry. Exceptionally strong writing and editing experience, Deep understanding of branding and how to express it through various communications. Keen eye for detail with exceptional proofreading skills. Logical thinking and ability to analyze and edit under pressure. Deep knowledge of AP style guidelines and ability to learn and execute Hogan Lovells house style. Knowledgeable on digital content creation, social media outlets, and SEO best practices. Ability to manage time and workload effectively by planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks with changing deadlines. Experience working in a global, professional services environment and ability to communicate with senior audiences including partners, and potentially clients of the firm. Must have tact, cross border cultural sensitivity, and the ability to persuade rather than dictate. Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing/communications, Journalism preferred. Master’s degree a plus. HOURS Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Must be flexible to work additional hours.
