Job Description
We are looking for a Content Marketing Manager who will contribute to content creation and support program operations for corporate marketing. Working in partnership with corporate marketing colleagues, this role will be focused on:Developing research-based short- and medium-form content like blog posts, e-books, whitepapers, and infographicsSupporting customer advocacy program operations through activities like email writing and event campaign communicationsEnsuring our content is connected to our customers’ experiences and infusing our customer experiences throughout our content.
This role will support the organization by increasing content outputs, contributing to existing programs, and consistently partnering with peers to create great work centered around our customers and aligned with our mission. This individual will need to develop and manage timely deliverables with strong communication. They must be team oriented, have a collaborative attitude, and be comfortable with changing work rhythms (sometimes fast, sometimes slow).
Successful candidates will have experience writing, interviewing subject matter experts, interpreting data, and managing projects. They will also enjoy learning about the compensation industry by reading, discussing, and getting on the phone with customers. You will enjoy this role if you have a desire to learn through feedback and partnership, enjoy writing (a lot), and want to work in a collaborative environment that strives to balance individual ownership with partnership (in order to make work engaging and achieve high-quality outcomes). You will be a part of our Corporate Marketing team.
ResponsibilitiesOwn the writing process from brainstorming to content creation for short- and medium-form content in a variety of formatsInterview subject matter experts and conduct research on key topicsAnalyze and understand data to derive insights based on analysisWrite short, engaging copy (headers, title tags, snippets) for the websiteInterface with customers to gather information and secure approvalsPublish content to a variety of channels, including the corporate websiteAbility to repackage and repurpose content in new ways for different audiencesProvide creative, editorial, and technical support to marketing team membersSupport customer advocacy program operations drawing from your strength as a writer and communicator of ideasInnovate and propose new approaches to connect our content to our customers, and bring the stories and challenges of our customers through in our content
Qualifications
4-6 years of experience in audience-facing writing and project coordination.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Knowledge of AP style and experience adhering to editorial guidelines
Experience with WordPress websites and blogging software, a plus.
Keyword research, familiarity with SEO tools, and SEO best practices, a plus.
Experience with Asana or similar project management software, a plus
Ability to take direction as part of a team and not be “precious” about writing
