Job Description : Overview: Tribune Publishing is seeking a Digital Advertising Operations Lead to join our Digital Advertising Operations team. The Digital Ad Operations Lead is a crucial resource to enabling strong ad campaign executions and ensuring an optimized experience for both users and customers. The Lead will lend their technical and operational knowledge to support various Tribune Publishing departments on new and existing digital advertising initiatives. Troubleshooting site-related execution challenges, including campaign setup (programmatic and direct), product configuration, or 3rd party partner. This person will work side by side with Regional Managers, Digital Operations Managers, Campaign Specialists, and Programmatic teams across the Tribune Publishing network. This role will be fully remote and can be based in any of these states: CA, CT, FL, IL, IN, MD, NJ, NY, OH, OR, TN, VA, WI. Responsibilities: Go to person for all campaign troubleshooting. Participate in planning complex campaign executions and delivery requirements. Ensure data integrity within Google Ad Manager. Participate in innovation testing, new product, and creative rollouts (including setup) – all platforms. Focus on continuous process improvement by identifying areas for change or efficiency. Troubleshoot ad tech partner issues with the market support teams, as necessary, to determine the cause and solution. Help manage project plan on new or existing initiatives, including but not limited to data migrations, system migrations, setup, launch, evaluate success, etc. Take the lead on generating ad tags for new sites and sections across all markets, in both mobile and desktop. Partner with digital ad ops managers to streamline the holistic ad operations process from campaign planning, execution, reporting and measurement. Coordinate with internal team resources for product launches, perform internal deliverables as needed. Maintain digital product catalog within order management system. Assist in defining and documenting quality metrics for partners and internal processes. Recommend, interpret, and implement quality assurance standards that ensure quality service is provided to all customers. Lead training and knowledge-sharing sessions about various topics related to the current digital industry and specific Tribune Publishing digital strategies and processes within the department and across the network. Stay informed of Tribune Publishing digital products, industry issues, digital marketing trends, and ad serving solutions. Maintain strong working knowledge of all utilized systems and policy standards and procedures related to digital advertising and Tribune Publishing. Other projects, as assigned by management Qualifications: Minimum 2+ years of experience with Google Ad Manager. BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Mathematics discipline preferred or 3+ years in the digital advertising industry, particularly in trafficking, fulfillment, and or ad operations. Experience within the digital ecosystem ad server functionality, including configuration and how SSP’s work (tags, inventory, etc.) Working knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, HTML Experience working with APIs. Proactive attitude with exceptional analytical, documentation, organizational, project management, and listening skills. Solid understanding of advertising campaign setup and metrics. Able to operate well in a multi-market team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders Experience in troubleshooting/diagnosing and solving technical problems with product and technology teams. Able to work both independently with minimal daily oversight and in a team environment and be able to interact effectively with other team members, management, and customers.
