Also, if you are hired, you will be required to come to the Ybor City office in Tampa for orientation.Bay Area Legal Services is a regional, non-profit public interest law firm providing the highest quality legal counsel by:Assisting individuals and non-profit groups with limited access to legal services;Resolving the legal problems of clients; andPreserving the independence, hope, and dignity of those we serve.Position Title: Digital Project Manager – Part-Time (Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and a maximum of 29 hours per week)Bay Area Legal Services is seeking to fill a temporary (16 month grant assignment), part-time Digital Project Manager position to work remotely in Florida.This role will be responsible and accountable for leading digital projects from conception through to completion. The position will spend their time on a grant-funded project, focused on empowering youth in foster care of their legal rights through the creation of a website, app, and various media. The project is based on the Know Your Rights Guide, an informational guide for teenagers in foster care.This is a grant-funded position with the term of employment to end on June 30, 2023.Applicants seeking employment with us should understand and share our commitment to the BALS’ mission and vision, and be willing to abide by the four core values of Bay Area Legal Services.Illustrative DutiesProvide end-to-end project management for digital projectsScope project requirements and prepare budgetsDevelop a detailed project plan and monitor progressCollaborate with internal teams to design, develop and implement digital projectsLiaising with relevant stakeholders, writers, curators, vendors, and consultants for the duration of the projectConduct user research and usability testing to understand the audience, address the right problem, and implement improvementsDeliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are metDevelop support documentation and requirement specificationsAssist the creation of guided interviews to generate legal documents and forms for external usersManage and maintain digital assets (web, app, videos, content etc.)Enforce content quality standards and oversee content governance processNetwork and build relationships with others in the legal profession, especially in legal aid and access to justice, to collaborate on solutions to major issuesKeep current on digital and legal technology, advancements in legal services programs and organizations, internally and externally.Minimum Qualifications3-5 years proven working experience in a project management role (does not have to be full-time) Associates degree – Business Admin., Project Mgmt., Computer Science, Digital Marketing or related. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Proficient and proven experience with:Project management principlesLeading multiple projects and teamsDemonstrated ability and experience with:Analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, organization, and time management skillsBuilding effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholdersOrganizational skills, prioritization skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlinesWritten and verbal communication skillsConfidently interface with all levels of staff including executives, managers and staff; in addition to board members, contractors, volunteers, and other outside parties.Basic experience/working knowledge of:Content management systems’ Drupal and/or WordPress, or similar CMSWeb design principles and best practicesSearch engine optimization (SEO) best practicesPublishing digital contentCopyediting, proofreading, etc.User research methods and conducting user research (i.e., interviews, surveys, usability testing, etc.)Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a teamDesire to work with and understand vulnerable populations accessing civil legal aid servicesAbility to work virtually with a diverse group of people and stakeholders in multiple locationsProficient using Microsoft Office products, video conferencing, and related technologiesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a nonprofit organization or law firm.Proficient and proven experience with:Implementing SEO best practicesUsing Google search tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.) and SEO/digital marketing tools (i.e., Ahrefs, Moz, Semrush, etc.)Using design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, Sketch, or similar toolsAbility to address accessibility and compatibility issuesUsing document assembly tools (i.e., Documate, Afterpattern, docassemble, HotDocs, or similar tools)Basic experience/working knowledge of:HTML/CSS, JavascriptBONUS: 1-2 years’ experience as a legal aid attorney, or family law or housing law attorney OR recent law school graduate with internship, fellowship, and/or clerkship experience OR 3-5 years’ experience as a paralegalPreferred Education/CertificationProject Management Professional (PMP)® or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®, or similar project management certificationCompensationStarting hourly rate $32.00/hr (depends upon experience), some benefits (403b with match, telemedicine benefits, EAP) reimbursement for mileage.We are an equal opportunity employer.
