Freelance Senior Content Strategist

We’re seeking an integrated strategic team leader who believes their mission is to transform a brands’ ambition into unstoppable performance. Roles & Responsibilities:
The Senior Content Strategist is responsible for translating marketing strategies into effective communications plans to target healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and wellness enthusiasts.
This individual will focus on developing and executing content strategies through multiple measurable channels, including digital (earned and owned), events, sales enablement, PR and traditional mediums, such as collateral and advertising.
This role will live at the intersection of multiple disciplines driving consensus to optimize the creative output and guide in-market execution and measurement.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Collaborating with copywriting and digital teams to create high-quality, strategic campaigns and assets that fulfill client and/or agency goals
Identify users’ content needs and prioritize and execute the right content activities.
Align other content practitioners to create cohesive content experiences, including narrative strategy and voice and tone, across the customer journey.
Determine an optimal content strategy to convey the message and compel user action.
Facilitate content critiques, lead cross-functional workshops, and advise partners on content execution.
Create tools, guides, and templates to empower colleagues to create their own great content.
Support the development of content including newsletters, website content, articles, blogs, social media content, advertising content, and sales enablement materials.
Conduct content inventories, gap analyses, support user research and stakeholder interviews.
Keep current with best practices, social media trends, web usability, SEO and industry trends.
Utilize appropriate technologies and content methodologies to capture, store, deliver and preserve content.
Practice quality assurance procedures at each deliverable stage to maintain content integrity and ensure that content meets project specifications and standards.
Provide accurate estimates of project work with accountability for the content portion of the project budget. Identify content requirement changes and assess against original project scope.
Assist in the preparation of materials for medical-legal review; and participates in clients’ medical-legal review processes as required, providing solutions to ensure/accelerate approval
Provides onsite input and support at client meetings, as needed
Support the agency’s content function, serving as a strategist to help clients develop effective and compelling content marketing programs across multiple channels and numerous audiences for strong growth
Collaborate to establish measurement tactics and best practices to standardize agency approach
Provide strategic counsel to key client contacts around content strategy and performance
Conduct content planning to develop strategic roadmaps for clients, helping them identify the ideal messages and distribution strategy for maximum engagement and conversion
Proactively bring ideas to management about opportunities for team and agency success
Seek out upsell opportunities within existing client work. Support business development as required
