This role is part of a larger Performance Driven Marketing (PDM) team tying together the ‘modern marketing machine’ including PDM planning & insights, measurement sciences, marketing data & operations, and consent & privacy. In this role, you’ll be building a department focused on creating customer demand for our software-enabled services across multiple new product lines of business. These product lines range from established services, like OnStar subscriptions, to new product categories, like digital Accessories and over-the-air upgrades, and are forecasted to grow in revenue by 10x in the next 10 years. This role requires a strategic leader who is cut from performance media and demand generation efforts, who is motivated by data-driven marketing approaches to generate high customer experience, lower cost / acquisition, drive ROI (return on investment), and brings forward LTV (long-term value) for GM. Skills Required: Forward-looking performance marketer who excels in a fast-paced innovation environment Deep cross-channel experience across media, owned & operated properties, and CRM Strong focus on data-driven performance marketing, tied to ROI, CAC, AOV, LTV Experience in media, creative, and audience optimization Implements test & learn approach – A/B testing, new channels and methods, cross-channel attribution Strength in marketing analytics that tie back to performance KPIs Entrepreneurial-mindset and leadership to build a new department and gaining crossfunctional support Budget creation for a new department and budget management Problem-solving skills, including planning, time management and organizational proficiencies Strong leadership skills with an ability to set and lead high-performing teams in the attainment of performance goals Capable use of modern marketing tools; effective use of insights, data, 1:1 and addressable technologies, AI/ML, leading-edge digital channels, test-and-learn, to advance how we reach the right customer with the right message at the right time Ability to lead, grow, and develop emerging marketing talent Additional Job Description Educational Requirements: Four-Year Accredited College Degree Advanced/Master’s degree in a marketing or business-related field (preferred but not required) Additional Requirements / Qualifications: 10+ years of CRM and digital marketing experience Areas of expertise: Management of complex integrated/automated marketing campaigns and segmentation strategies Data analysis and data-driven marketing initiatives Experience in marketing a technology brand and its associated products Direct Agency experience or Agency management experience Management of agency budgets and contracts Proven track record to lead cross-functional teams Strong financial and performance management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Affinity to facilitate problem solving & collaboration Shown experience in effective project management People Leadership Experience leading large teams Ability to influence without authority Mentorship and individual development Hybrid:This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively.
