Job Description : A DC Membership Association is looking for an Interim Marketing & Communications Director to develop, integrate, and implement of a broad range of marketing, communications, video production and public relations activities. This position will be remote through April with plans to return in a hybrid format in May.Responsibilities include:Provides day-to-day leadership, management, coaching and mentoring to direct reports.Recruits and retains a diverse workforce and works to create an inclusive environment for all department staff.Directs and implements a proactive marketing and communication strategy that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan to enhance the reputation and member engagement activities.Oversees the communication channels, including the content for the website, social media, and video production. Employs sophisticated strategies to improve the readership and viewership of all channels.Develops an overarching branding strategy informed by surveys and other key stakeholder inputs.Responsible for ensuring consistency of approach and branding throughout all media content and marketing initiatives. Directs the development of creative and innovative approaches to member engagement campaigns.Directs the implementation of and identifies opportunities for cross-platform content. Provides commentary on various media uses in the marketplace and analyzes market competition of the website marketplace.Serves as the key spokesperson and media contact for the organization.Prepares speeches, talking points, and presentations for the CEO and other executives.Develops consolidated sales strategies and tactics to support the direct sales of products and services.Designs and implements a strategic plan to promote the organization’s broadcast studio production facilities and services as a source of revenue.Requirements of the Interim Marketing Director:Demonstrated success in a marketing or communications leadership role at a large membership organization.Knowledge of and proficiency with communications technologies.Experience in stakeholder and community engagement.Experience preparing and implementing departmental budgets.Knowledge of marketing campaign and research strategies and the ability to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.Strong decision-making skills. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be detail oriented and deadline driven. Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Must work well under pressure, possess excellent organizational abilities, and able to manage several priorities in a day.Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Remote through April and then hybrid format starting in MayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Marketing: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
