| Job Description : | Waste Connections has a new and exciting opportunity for a Marketing Content Writer. We need a writer who can write straightforward, concise sentences that website visitors will appreciate reading. Content should also provide superb SEO results. This person would likely have a background in journalism or creative writing. In exchange for your skill and experience, we will pay you well; provide a fun, relaxed, open-office setting; and empower you to have great influence over your own projects. During the initial learning curve you will need to do a lot of research and writing to learn about the waste management industry. Eventually, you will be expected to pitch, oversee and launch content and websites. Responsibilities Plan, research, write, edit website content and strategy that advances a range of customer service, marketing and sales objectives, from brand awareness to lead generation. Collaborate with graphic designers and photographers to bring content to life in both printed and audiovisual, including the use of video, animations, and infographics Set up landing pages and create impactful content to improve conversion rates from leads to opportunity Align efforts with SEO efforts and analytics Requirements 2+ years of writing experience in a corporate or agency environment required, preferably as a copywriter for a major brand, e-commerce company, or digital design agency. Expert command of the English language (including spelling, grammar, punctuation). Creative, bold, and digitally savvy. A genuine passion for digital marketing and the online space with a strong knowledge of digital commerce, SEO writing, writing for different and multiple target audiences, and social media platforms. Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and flexible. Able to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
