Job Description : About Scissortail Park Scissortail Park is in the heart of a revitalized downtown Oklahoma City. The public green space provides a healthy and vibrant quality of life for our city while serving as an investment in the future for everyone. Every detail of the Park is designed for connection – with nature, neighbors and ourselves. It is a place for play, culture, celebration and inspiration. The 36-acre Upper Park opened in September 2019 and features a variety of engaging experiences ranging from ornamental gardens and woodlands to a lake and boathouse. The Park offers visitors walking and biking paths, a children’s playground, grand promenade, performance stage and great lawn, seasonal outdoor roller rink, an enclosed dog park, interactive fountains, and much more. Connected across Interstate 40 by the Skydance Bridge, the 34-acre Lower Park broke ground on November 6, 2020 with an expected completion by fall 2022. The Lower Park is intended to have more open and natural spaces. There will be a focus on space for athletic events and pickup sports, with a soccer field, sports pavilion, pickleball courts, futsal court and two basketball courts.SummaryThe Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator provides assistance and support to Scissortail Park’s marketing and communications department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, design, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Reports to and works closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to support the overall department and organization goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Responsible for a mixture of marketing coordination functions as well as graphic design and content creation.· Plan, design and produce original graphic content for use in deliverables including ad creative, website/blog graphics, social media, GIFs, PDFs, infographics, videos, packaging and promotion materials.· Responsible for maintaining WordPress website including design and content updates.· Prepare weekly email newsletter communications for Park guests and members.· Assist with managing various social media accounts representing Scissortail Park.· Compile social media analytics and report campaign results to management.· Identify and recommend improvements or modifications to existing programs, and seek out new marketing strategies and opportunities.· Maintain current knowledge of online and social media trends and platforms.· Assist with the layout, writing, production, and delivery of marketing materials across a variety of marketing mediums (print, print/magazine ads, press releases, blog entries, catalogs, digital, social media, internal publications, signage, video) with specific attention to ensuring branding and communication standards.· Support internal departments with marketing and promotion needs as assigned.· Prepare files for prepress, print production and for electronic/web.· Assist with taking still photographs and video of events, programs, wildlife, landscaping, and other activities at Scissortail Park.· Maintain organized archive of photographs and electronic files.· Meet deadlines for approvals and project file submissions.· Review work for accuracy.· Other duties as assigned.Education and/or ExperienceBachelors degree and 2 years of relevant knowledge and experience in marketing, graphic design, advertising, communications, journalism and/or public relations.Computer Equipment and Software Requirements· Proficient knowledge of design principles and software used for graphic design, specifically Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).· Proficiency in Photoshop or similar photo-manipulation programs.· Familiar with WordPress, Elementor, Constant Contact or similar tools.· Photography and videography skills are a plus.· Must have good MS Office skills.· Experience in use of standard office equipment.Skills and Abilities Required· Ability to design for print and digital projects.· Up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies.· An eye for grammar and spelling mistakes.· Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects while maintaining a perspective on long-term goals.· Experience collaborating with diverse staff.· Independence and self-confidence to act decisively and, at the same time, an ability to receive, integrate and translate others’ ideas and suggestions.· A welcome attitude to constructive criticism of his/her/their work.· Excellent written and communication skills.· Willingness to learn new tools and techniques.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.Additional Job Requirements Clearance of background check.Work Environment The employee will work in an office environment. Some locations visited during the course of executing job duties may not be wheelchair accessible; some time will be spent outside.
