Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as the primary marketing specialist and public affairs liaison for all N9 Wounded Warrior services.
Works in tandem with other N9 marketing and sponsorship professionals to plan, develop and execute all aspects of N95 programs’ strategic marketing campaigns. This includes establishing and maintaining effective relationships with HQ and region program directors and key staff (internal and external audiences); developing written, digital and audiovisual materials promoting programs and services, either individually or in cooperation with other N9 programs; developing recommendations for improving the marketing strategy based on analysis of feedback from affected or interested audiences; and communicating with field N95 professionals.
Prepares and publishes N95 publications, keeping all internal and external audiences informed of programs and activities; drafts and markets articles and official talking points to internal and external media.
Assists in the execution of high-profile events, to include but not limited to the Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games, Invictus Games, and Family and Caregiver events.
Coordinates N95 marketing opportunities with Navy News Service; Defense Media Activity; Navy Chief of Information; base newspapers, and other print, electronic, and broadcast media sources to positively promote NWW visibility and messaging.
Ensures N95 success stories are communicated to Navy leadership as well as internal and external media.
Coordinates with the CNIC Public Affairs Officer (PAO) to identify, develop and facilitate relationships between local and regional media outlets outside the DoD.
Works with the PAO to engage CNIC region/installation PAOs in the promotion of N95 programs.
Drafts responses to media queries about N95 programs, as requested by CNIC PAO.
Helps coordinate the development and design of marketing collateral materials, including posters, print banners, table tents, brochures, fact sheets, information cards, desk guides, newsletters, articles, flyers, website banners, social media graphics, and electronic advertisements for N95 professionals to use in promoting programs and services.
Uses a variety of digital marketing techniques to share information about N95 programs with young customers, including emerging social media platforms, mobile instant messaging, wireless text messaging, electronic newsletters, digital advertisements, podcasts, and other interactive technologies.
Maintains and enhances the content of websites and social media for N95 programs, in compliance with DoD and Department of the Navy (DON) policies.
Updates the websites internally using a content management system.
Develops and deploys online and video products to reach potential N95 customers, such as mobile applications, podcasts, theater previews, Direct-to-Sailor videos, and more.
Builds relationships with CNIC N95 region/installation marketing directors for their assistance in disseminating marketing tools.
Researches and develops speeches and talking points for senior leadership on N95 programs.
Presents ideas orally and in written materials in new ways that will increase understanding among publics with varying levels of comprehension of N95 programs.
Identifies survey mechanisms and metrics, and creates methods of reporting and tracking in order to analyze the effectiveness of N95 marketing efforts.
Prepares and presents reports as required.

Qualifications

Skill in analytical and creative ability, resourcefulness and initiative to accomplish a broad spectrum of tasks on an independent basis.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with representatives of community organizations and community leaders, some of whom may have different or opposing points of view and conflicting interests.
Skill in explaining a position while not criticizing other views or arousing damaging hostility.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.) and Adobe Creative Software.
Ability to use established DoD, DON and CNIC policies, procedures and instructions that impact the mission of N9 programs.
Ability to produce written materials that convey complex and sensitive information.
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with high-level officials in military, other government and civilian organizations.
Education
This series does not have a positive education requirement.
