We’ve built a collaborative newsroom of beat reporters, subject editors and data journalists who will produce daily interconnected stories written from multiple lenses, including science, economics, misinformation, politics, the law, technology, identity, and global.We are hiring journalists with strong reporting and writing skills who would be excited by the challenge of inventing and continually honing new formats. We want to lay out the who, what, when, etc., and explain the multiple frames through which to understand the bigger picture. We want reporters with subject-area expertise who see the forces animating their beats, how their beats intersect with others, and the political, economic, social, global, and scientific contexts in which the big stories on their beats play out. We will consider applicants with other professional backgrounds who can show us they have the area-specific expertise and writing skills to do the work.The SEO Manager will own responsibilities for search performance and improvement across all aspects of the organization. The position will work directly with the editorial staff to make sure products being delivered are maximized for their search potential. The SEO Manager will analyze on a regular cadence the search performance and make required changes as need be. In addition, the position will be the leader of delivering and setting up trend monitoring systems within the editorial section.
