Job Description : THE ROLE
Your role stands at the intersection of social media marketing and the effort to make positive changes in educational equity and racial justice. As a key member of Stand’s National Marketing & Communications team at a moment of tremendous need and opportunity, you will be responsible for leading social media outreach for our national brand and programs and working closely with stakeholders to execute layered digital advertising programs. Through your dedication and passionate approach to the role, you get the opportunity to work with colleagues who not only care deeply about justice and equity, but who are bold and strategic and take responsibility for achieving substantial progress toward our mission every year. Social Media Content
Key executor of written and graphical content for social media channels
The multi-channel social media manager
Collaborate with state affiliate and national program teams to create and execute on content across social media channels
Digital Advertising
Content creation support for digital advertising on social media and targeted digital content outlets
Execute digital advertising placement, including targeted audience segmentation
Navigate multi-channel advertising regulations, policies, and verification processes
Collaborate with the digital content specialist to adapt content for social media channels and digital advertising tactics
Reporting and Trends
Track and evaluate digital advertising and social media content to determine usefulness and success at reaching target audiences, using metrics and data to improve reach and optimize communications over time
Recommend and create content and best practices based on data-driven opportunities to reach and activate through digital advertising and social media channels
Ensure that all content supports Stand for Children’s brand, mission, vision and adheres to network-wide messaging guidelines
Stay up to date on new developments in social media and digital advertising and trends suggesting new tools that will engage and empower our parent and community members
SALARY: $48,670 – $60,838 commensurate with experience.
Passionate commitment to Stand for Children’s mission
3 years of experience in a professional setting; political, nonprofit, advocacy, or campaign experience a plus
Excellent communication skills; outstanding writer and fast, detail-oriented editor;
Experience creating digital advertising content
Experience with social media content writing and creation
Strong knowledge of and passion for innovation on social media, including but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram
Outcome-driven, self-starter, and proactive with the capacity to work both independently and with the team
Strong interpersonal skills
