Job Description : SUMMARY The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing content for multiple social media platforms and assist with social media community management, website updates and blog posts. This is a full-time position and will implement the social media strategy as it relates to agency activities including the promotion of OppShop. This position interacts directly with appropriate staff to complete all duties as follows.Responsibilities: Responsible for:Writing/editing/posting content on all social media properties including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and InstagramTaking photos and video to drive visual content on social media propertiesResponding to comments and questions posted by users to our social mediaMeasuring success of social media content and report to leadership as appropriatePlanning and executing social media for special events (SouperBowl, Wine Women and Shoes, golf outing)Coordinating social media coverage of events occurring at Opportunity House andOppShop including cooking groups, volunteer efforts and store salesUsing social media to acknowledge donors: corporate, individual and foundation giftsWriting stories for our newsletter, blog posts and brochuresPersonal CharacteristicsAbility to work remotely and independently when needed, requiring limited supervisionAbility to manage time responsibly and juggle multiple, varied tasks at oncePossess strong organizational skills and attention to detailTeamwork mentality and ability to be accessible, approachable andinterpersonally engagedOutgoing, positive, solutions-oriented attitudePassion for the organization and the clients we serveEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree (preferred)Experience using social media with a strong understanding of various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, PinterestExperience with both traditional and social media outreachExcellent writing and editing skills neededExcellent photography and video editing skillsWordPress experienceSkills using Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, Hootsuite and MS OfficeOpportunity House is an Equal Opportunity employer.
