Job Description : The Social Media Specialist is an integral member of Extra Mile Brands Marketing Team, playing an important role in the development and growth of all our brands. The Social Media Specialist serves as an ambassador for every brand to the automotive community and a successful candidate will be motivated in remaining current with the latest digital trends.The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing the social media handles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) – creating and administering content, building audiences, and engaging and stewarding the Automotive community. The position will create content and marketing plans, tailored to each platform, that encourage interaction, promote campaign strategies, and align with all other marketing priorities. The position will also explore new opportunities to promote communication with and among the automotive community, including collaborating with other departments within the company. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for monitoring social media trends and topics and integrating these emerging strategies into the Extra Mile Brands handles.In collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator, the Social Media Specialist is also responsible for tracking the success of social marketing efforts and suggesting changes and enhancements that continue to encourage greater social media participation and interaction with the Extra Mile Brands handles.The position demands not only superlative communication skills and creativity, but also tact, persistence, integrity, and an ability to succeed under pressure, as well as the time-management skills to handle multiple deadlines with minimal supervision. Design experience not required, but applicants with comfort creating graphics and visual assets for social and utilizing design software will be given special consideration.The position typically requires a bachelor’s degree plus two or more years work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate expertise in social media management and communications.
