What we’re looking for: The Sr. Manager, Marketing Insights and Analytics will partner with the marketing organization to deliver a holistic approach for leveraging insights and analytics to dramatically improve all aspects of our marketing outcomes, from brand to demand and across earned and owned efforts. This role will ensure Marketing can access and act on rich, data-based analysis and analytical models that dramatically enhance decision making and targeting across marketing. This role will be responsible for providing valuable insights, recommendations, and action plans to marketing teams and executives. The Sr. Manager, Marketing Insights and Analytics has a deep understanding of the wide variety of channels and tactics used across marketing and expertise in the nuances of how to interpret success across those channels and tactics. The role requires technical mastery (data management, reporting, statistical programming & analysis, and business modeling), analytical intuition (knowing how to apply technical skills to solve business problems) and strong communication skills (convey results of analysis in a way that is understood by and useful to business leaders). This role will ensure Marketing can access and act on rich, data-based analysis and analytical models that dramatically enhance decision making and targeting across marketing. Key areas of focus include: Role Responsibilities Ensure the brand, demand and digital marketing teams have insights they need to assess global campaign performance and return on marketing investments, providing actionable, fact-based intelligence that aligns with priorities and goals. Leverage data from multiple sources and consolidate all analytics (from internal and agency sources) to provide a single, consistent view of marketing performance across all campaigns, programs, channels, offers, tactics and vendors relative to established goals such as response, engagement, funnel conversion, ROI, acquisition and re-engagement, etc. Research industry benchmarks, best practices and historic trends to provide insights into the effectiveness of the marketing mix including audiences, channels and content, and make recommendations for optimizing mix Leverage performance and investment data across all marketing channels to understand the predictability of marketing effectiveness as impacted by changes in channel or budget. Ensure marketers and executives have the ability to make quick decisions when they may need to pivot dollars for specific results Monitor marketing performance to proactively identify trends and leading indicators, communicate key insights to inform go forward strategy, and collaborate with marketing leaders on recommendations to optimize. Partner with team members to develop and maintain modeling capabilities in direct relation to account profiling, audience strategy, account & lead scoring, customer journey analytics and buyer segmentation Develop a deep understanding of optimal customer marketing engagement through all stages of the buyer journey (awareness to retention) to ensure we are engaging with the right contacts within an account at the optimal time with a message that will assist in accelerating a deal to close. Design and enable segmentation solutions that enable marketers to understand the profile of an account and target the right audience with the right message based on 1st party and 3rd party data sources though both paid and owned channels. Project work is related to demand generation, lead acquisition, audience segmentation, retention/adoption, spend efficiency, product marketing, brand awareness, and marketing ops support. Partner with Demand Marketing, IT, and cross functional partners to define database segmentation requirements and ensure lead flows are optimized across programs to accelerate Demand to Sales funnel conversion Introduce a buying group measurement leveraging interaction data to identify engagement of suspects, prospects, and customers across campaigns, social, and websites. Leverage these insights to inform and improve our omni-channel targeting and segmentation strategy. Further develop a buyer group engagement score into the Marketing measurement strategy. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Business Intelligence (BI) experience; Tableau or Power BI highly preferred, but experience with other cloud-based data visualization tools is acceptable Experienced SAS or R programmer. Python experience also considered if it is related to numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn packages. Basic SQL skills also required. Experience with Snowflake, GCP, Azure, and Databricks Understanding of the mechanics and application of statistics, statistical models, and data science techniques. The ability to explain relevant conceptual points to a business audience is also required. Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, (Applied) Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Analytics/Data Science. Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
