We proudly promote a people-driven culture, investing significantly in the development of our teams, providing high achievers with many opportunities to grow professionally.JOB SUMMARYThe VP of Marketing is responsible for translating business goals into marketing strategies to achieve overall financial and strategic objectives. The VP of Marketing plans, directs, implements, and manages all the marketing, advertising, public relations, and promotional activities for CMX Cinemas, driving sales growth and directly impacting long-term profitability.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with business goals, driving sales growth and contributing to CMX Cinemas’ long-term successIncrease attendance and enhance brand awareness and loyalty by continually developing, implementing, and managing promotional strategy and advertising for digital media, including social media, print, direct mail, radio, television, and other relevant platformsManage and direct the productivity and daily activity for the internal marketing team and external graphic designers, marketing and advertising agencies, PR firms, and website designers/developersDevelop and maintain strong relationships with film studios, landlords, vendors, local authorities, dignitaries, key organizations, and VIP’s in each marketManage external communications through public relations and media management, advertising, social media, digital platforms, audio visual assets and sponsorshipsContinually develop and implement strategies to increase brand equity, brand awareness and emotional connection for all brands including CMX CinéBistro, CMX Market, CMX Cinemas, and CMX Stone Bar, while ensuring brand integrity is maintainedMonitor the correct implementation of the CMX brand in every facet of useImplement marketing strategies and promotions that will grow, engage, and retain social media followers and impact incremental attendance; regularly analyze key metrics to assess trends and activity and make any necessary changes to improve effectiveness and social reachSupport COO with all onscreen advertising initiativesEngage in continuous evaluation of consumer and market trends and competitor activities; adjust strategy to capitalize on shifts in the marketplaceObtain guest feedback through market researchOversee Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for company website and third-party review sites such as Trip Advisor, Yelp, and GoogleDevelop and execute marketing plans for new theatre openings through large scale awareness and exposureWork with Operations to develop marketing strategy and execute marketing plans for key initiatives relating to films, chef prepared food & beverage, and traditional concessionsWork with IT and external web developers to develop and manage content of CMX Cinemas’ websiteCreate, execute, and monitor all loyalty and subscription programs and associated data analyticsInitiate, support, and execute marketing initiatives, such as the Gift Card Program, ensuring proper communication and distribution of collateral materials to all locationsPartner with Operations to create and implement brand-appropriate initiatives and creative ideas that drive attendance and/or incremental salesDevelop, promote, implement, and champion Corporate Social Responsibility endeavors, in conjunction with other company leadersPartner with Operations to develop Marketing plans and budgets for all units to be approved by the Chief Operating OfficerImpact financial performance through effective control of marketing and budgetsMonthly review of financial statements, sales, and other performance data with theatre management to ensure goals are metTrack and analyze data to determine effectiveness (ROI) of marketing initiativesNegotiate advertising contracts for print, online, electronic media, and direct mailOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead brand integration for acquisitions as neededStay abreast of market trends and best practices by attending trade show meetings and eventsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE5-7 years proven work experience as a VP of Marketing or another senior roleMovie theater, restaurant, or entertainment marketing experience preferredBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferredPrior success in building brand equity and brand awareness for emerging brandsTrack record translating business goals into successful marketing strategies with proven positive financial resultsMust be metric driven and have the ability to draw insight from complex marketing data analyticsThorough understanding of and ability to affect impact on financial statementsStrategic mindset with ability to implement short and long-range strategy while achieving day-to-day resultsSolid knowledge and understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM), including web analytics, such as Google Analytics and WebtrendsSolid knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques, including social media platformsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technologyExcellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact easily with diverse groups of peopleStrong analytical, project management and problem-solving skillsStrong listening skills and the ability to collaborate cross functionally with other areas such as Operations, Culinary, Finance, and ITExcellent planning, organizing, delegation, and multi-tasking skillsAble to work in a fast-paced, high energy environmentDedicated to guest-first mentality, genuine hospitality and guest engagement, continually seeking to enhance the guest experienceDedication to the team member experience, recognizing the significant value this has on the guest experienceStrong supervisory, leadership, and people development skills.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESManage and direct the productivity and daily activity for internal marketing team members and external graphic designers, marketing and advertising agencies, PR firms, and website designers/developers.WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTThe position is primarily corporate office based but will require some travel during new theater openings and for other special eventsCMX Cinemas is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, promoting diversity and inclusion of all as being foundational to our culture.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location |
